Terms of use

Last updated: September 2026 Welcome to Image Workshop, a CS17 online tool. By accessing or using Image Workshop, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service.

1. About Image Workshop

Image Workshop provides free browser-based tools for editing and working with images. Features may include resizing, cropping, rotating, flipping, converting, compressing, upscaling, adjusting, adding text or markup, applying watermarks and borders, and downloading edited images. Features may be changed, improved, added or removed over time.

2. Using Image Workshop

You may use Image Workshop for personal, educational or commercial purposes, provided your use is lawful and does not infringe the rights of another person or organisation. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permission to use, edit, modify and distribute any images or other content you work with using Image Workshop. You must not use Image Workshop for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or abusive purposes.

3. Your Images and Content

You retain ownership of the images and other content you use with Image Workshop. Image Workshop does not claim ownership of your images simply because you use the service to edit them. Where Image Workshop performs editing directly within your web browser, your images do not need to be uploaded to CS17 for those normal editing functions. You remain responsible for the content you create, edit, save or distribute using Image Workshop.

4. Saving Your Work

Image Workshop is a browser-based editing tool. Users should download and save completed images to their own device. Do not rely on Image Workshop to permanently store your work. Closing or refreshing the browser, navigating away from the page, clearing browser data, encountering a browser error or losing power or internet access may result in unsaved work being lost.

5. Image Quality and File Compatibility

We aim to provide reliable image processing, but results may vary depending on the original image, file format, image dimensions, browser, device and available system memory. Resizing, compression, conversion, upscaling and other image processing may affect image quality. Very large images may require significant computer memory and may not be supported by every browser or device. Users should check downloaded images before deleting or replacing their original files.

6. Keep Your Original Files

We strongly recommend keeping a backup of your original image before editing it. CS17 is not responsible for the loss of an original image, loss of editing work, reduced image quality, corrupted files or other loss resulting from the use of Image Workshop.

7. Third-Party Rights and Copyright

You must not use Image Workshop to unlawfully copy, modify or distribute copyrighted images, trademarks or other protected material. It is your responsibility to determine whether you have permission to use an image and whether your intended use complies with applicable copyright, trademark, privacy and other laws.

8. Availability of the Service

We aim to keep Image Workshop available and functioning correctly, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, hosting issues, updates or circumstances outside our control.

9. No Professional Advice

Image Workshop and the information provided on the website are general-purpose tools and information only. Nothing provided through Image Workshop should be considered legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability
